Payment of Bills: A motion was made by Bob Bergsten to pay the bills. The motion was seconded by Jim Tollas. Motion Carried.
OTHER OLD BUSINESS:
New Connections – discussion regarding packets for new construction. The sewer information will be included in the packet given out for all new construction when building permits are issued. Some things to be included in the package are Fees – Sewer connection and building permit need to be paid before construction is started. Set Backs need to be followed and diagramed, wetlands checked with DNR and zoning checked, address application needs to be applied for , time line needs to be adhered to. First step for any new construction is to check with village clerk.
Doug Stanley gave a report as to where the 154 project stands. The 154 project bills are attached. The hang up right now is we do not have a written contract with the school district as to how they are going to make the loan payments and the school is already complaining that they cannot make the payments. The easements have not been completed as of yet. Doug Stanley is meeting with Paul Staffrud from the school district on Thursday to try and iron some more problems out. Ms. Fechtelkotter wants a lateral installed 100 to 150 feet and wants it in writing that they will not have to pay the connection fee.
Randy Jones and Jim Tollas would like to get off the sewer commission. Jim is concerned with the village not being in compliance until we have a certified operator. Brad Nelson will be taken the test again in April. Randy Jones stated that he is not interested in doing any more training of new operators.
NEW BUSINESS: Jeff and Susan Johnson and Norma Fechtelkotter – The Johnson’s would like to place a mobile home on Norma’s property this spring and they are wondering what they would have to do to connect to the municipal sewer. The commission told them that they can connect to the sewer with filing an application, having the line inspected by either Rob Leitha or one of the commissioners and having the appropriate pictures and connections. The Johnson’s will check with Rob to see what if any inspections he may require.
ADJOURN: Jim Tollas made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Randy Jones seconded the motion. Motion Carried. Meeting was adjourned at 6:50 pm.
