Minutes of Caucus
January 12, 2010
1. Purpose
This caucus was convened pursuant to 8.05 (1) Wis. Stats. to nominate candidates for the three positions to be decided at the 2010 Spring Election. The positions are:
Village Trustee Randy Jones, incumbent
Village Trustee Jim Tollas, incumbent
Village Trustee Brian Stauty, incumbent
2. Quorum
A quorum was present based on the presence of the following: President, Bob Bergsten, Trustees: Doug Stanley, Randy Jones, Jim Tollas, Ken Clausen, Brian Stauty and Jerald Swanson. Clerk Lori Plummer and Treasurer Erikka Bergsten were also present.
3. Caucus Officials
President Bob Bergsten asked for nominations for a chairman. Ken Clausen nominated Doug Stanley to serve as caucus official; the nomination was seconded by Jerald Swanson. Nomination carried.
Village Trustee, Douglas Stanley served as caucus officials.
4. Nominations
Doug called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Doug called for nominations for Village Trustees
Terri Nelson nominated Karen Nevin, seconded by Lori Plummer.
Terri Nelson nominated Keith Peltier, seconded by Lori Plummer.
Karen Nevin nominated Terri Nelson, seconded by Keith Peltier.
Milt Olson nominated Jim Tollas, Jim declined.
Milt Olson nominated Randy Jones, Randy declined.
Doug called for anymore nominations?
Doug called third and last time for nominations for Village Trustees
Motion made by Randy Jones and seconded by Bob Bergsten to close nominations for Village Trustees. Motion Carried.
Caucus closed at 7:09 by Chairman Doug Stanley.
5. Voting
As the number of nominees did not exceed twice the number of positions to be filled, no voting was required.
Motion was made by Robert Bergsten to adjourn the Village Caucus at 7:12 p.m., seconded by Randy Jones. Without objection, Jim Tollas adjourned the caucus.
