Sewer Commission Minutes
Village of Poplar
June 9th, 2009
Meeting called to order at 6:00 pm by chairman Doug Stanley
In attendance was Doug Stanley, Bob Bergsten, Randy Jones and Jim Tollas

OPERATOR’S REPORT:
FINANCIAL REPORTS:
Operation and Maintenance (after this months checks) $ 311.38
Cash Reserve Account $ 33,942.13
Debt Service Account $ 15,059.19
Equipment and Repair $ 1,246.45
CLERK’S REPORT – none
OLD BUSINESS:
Approval of Minutes: Bob Bergsten made a motion to accept the minutes. Randy Jones seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Payment of Bills: Randy Jones made a motion to pay the bills. Jim Tollas seconded the motion. Motion Carried.
Todd Wick’s sewer approval – A motion was made by Randy Jones to approve Todd Wick’s sewer connection application.
Operators Conference – Randy Jones and Brad Nelson are going to an operator’s conference in Siren. Randy paid the $40.00 registration fee and would like to be reimbursed. The board said to reimburse Randy for the fees.
Operators Certification – Brad needs to take the test and pass as soon as possible. The board will look for some training opportunities for Brad to attend.
Gerald Fechtelkotter – Jim Tollas had talked to Gerry regarding the sewer project. Gerry wants laterials put in as part of her deal. As of this point Gerry has not heard from anyone regarding the sewer and does not have any idea of what is going on. No one has contacted her at all regarding the sewer expansion after the initial easement was OK’d.
Dissolved Oxygen Sensor – the sensor either needs to be fixed or a new one will have to be purchased. Jim will send the sensor in tomorrow and find out if it can be fixed or Jim will order a new one. Discussion on a ph tester. A new ph tester will have to be purchased soon.
ADJOURN: Randy Jones made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Bob Bergsten seconded the motion. Motion Carried. Meeting was adjourned at 6:40 pm.
