Sewer Commission Minutes
Village of Poplar
June 9th, 2009
Meeting called to order at 6:00 pm by chairman Doug Stanley
In attendance was Doug Stanley, Bob Bergsten, Randy Jones and Jim Tollas

Operator Brad Nelson (absent)
Clerk Lori Plummer
SPEAKERS: none
OPERATOR’S REPORT: Randy Jones stated that the shaft broke and a new shaft has been ordered and there were no excedences last month
FINANCIAL REPORTS:
Operation and Maintenance (after this months checks) $ 1,808.28
Cash Reserve Account $ 33,346.34
Debt Service Account $ 15,053.44
Equipment and Repair $ 1,246.03
CLERK’S REPORT – none
OLD BUSINESS:
Approval of Minutes: Bob Bergsten made a motion to accept the minutes. Randy Jones seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Payment of Bills: Jim Tollas made a motion to pay the bills. Bob Bergsten seconded the motion. Motion Carried.
Leo Naumann’s yard – Leo Naumann’s yard has been fixed and is done.
Electric Meter Costs – Jim Tollas will continue to check into the costs for metering.
Sewer Project Bills – Doug Stanley cannot pay any of the bills involved with the sewer expansion until he receives some money from someplace.
Sludge Spreading – Doug Stanley is still fighting his way through the forms.
NEW BUSINESS:
MSA Contract – Randy Jones made a motion to have Bob Bergsten sign the extension contract brought to the meeting by Jon fromMSA so they may continue with contracted work. The motion was seconded by Jim. Motion Carried.
Jim Tollas will stop and let Gerry Fechtelkotter know that people may be on her property looking over things for the sewer expansion.
Jerry at Centurytel called with questions regarding the sewer laterial. The line is at least 100 feet or more and is in their laterial.
ADJOURN: Randy Jones made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Bob Bergsten seconded the motion. Motion Carried. Meeting was adjourned at 6:45 pm.
