There are few people who are easily recognized by a single name.  We all know of famous celebrities who are recognized that way; but in Northern Wisconsin, if you mention Tiger, everyone knows who you mean.  We lost Tiger in November of 2009, but he will never be forgotten.

Tiger cared for the Village of Poplar for more than 48 years.  When there was something that needed repair, Tiger was there to take care of it.  When those big snows came we always knew Tiger would be there with the grader to plow us out.  When there was a fire in the Village, there was Tiger.  The Village of Poplar will manage to get the necessary work done again, but it will never be the same without Tiger.
